Biography

Catherine Cadol has a multidisciplinary background in dance, theatre and singing.

She began dancing in Paris at the Ballet Studio du Marais with Yves Casati of the Paris Opera, then became the assistant of Bruce Merrill of the Chicago Ballet with whom she worked for many years.
At the same time, she completed internships at the Covent Garden Dance Center in London and discovered contemporary dance with Guillermo Palomares, a disciple of José Limon, and Françoise Saint Thibault, a student of Martha Graham. It was a natural progression for her to decide to go to New York to study with numerous teachers, notably at the Merce Cunningham School, where she stayed for a year.
This American experience would be decisive in his artistic choices.

Upon returning to France, she joined Jacques Alberca's company, where she remained for eight years. This was followed by film shoots, music videos, and engagements as a dancer with other companies.
She decided to create her own company and has since worked on around twenty choreographic pieces combining dance, theatre and song.
Her work as a teacher very often revolves around the creation of plays, in partnership with her company.
Classes are offered to children, teenagers, and adults. Good technique, creativity, and good humor are the three key words of his teaching.

In 2020, she decided to resume her studies at the University of Caen and obtained a bachelor's degree in applied foreign languages (English, Italian, German). In June 2025, she earned a master's degree in Italian, literature, culture, and translation from Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle and will present her research thesis in 2026 before beginning doctoral studies.

This academic training provides a necessary enrichment to the creative work of the dance school and company.
